Is a King bed right for you?
A King is 150cm wide and 200cm long (5′ × 6′6″), which gives each of two sleepers 75cm of width. Compared with a Double it is 15cm wider and 10cm longer, with more room all round.
It needs a room from 3.3 × 3.6 m, so check your floor plan first. If the room is smaller, a Double (from 3.0 × 3.0 m) may be the more comfortable choice once you allow for walking space.
Compared with a Super King, a King is 30cm narrower but shares the same 200cm length, and it asks for 0.3 m less width and 0.4 m less depth in the room. For most couples with a reasonably sized bedroom it is the balanced choice.
